Statement

My art is a blend of classical beauty and modern aesthetic. I draw my inspiration from the art of the Renaissance, combined with anime, cartoons, and graphic novels. Much of my art is inspired by animation, Gothicism, and mythology.

I work with different tools such as graphite, paints (acrylics and gouache), and digital art. By meshing both traditional and digital techniques, I aim to create a fresh perspective on classical styles.

My art aims to capture emotion and form in an aesthetically pleasing format. I focus strongly on composition and the movement of my work. Inspired by animation, I want my art to look like it is a video paused in motion. I enjoy mixing both modern and classical themes together to tie in both timeless style and modern themes. As modern art continues in a direction that is becoming more and more contemporary and corporate, I embrace the classics while still retaining my modern influence. I want people to feel a sense of wonder and familiarity when they see my work— to bring imagination to life.
