I painted this intense kitchen scene on an unstretched canvas with acrylic paint. The inspiration was from working in a variety of minimum wage jobs, which, despite paying the bare minimum, are still very overwhelming; no matter who you are while performing one of these jobs, it's like customers are attacking you, overwhelming you, and judging every single aspect of you. You are expected so much of yourself to sacrifice and for what?
